Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! How expensive are they?

When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard star sneakers price is around $514.

Do they fit as expected?

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.

Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

Is the comfort worth it?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..

Do they hold up well?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you buy again?

Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.

Is the comfort worth it?

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.

How do they perform over time?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
